Day 1: Santiago de Chile


Arrival in Santiago and private transfer to your hotel.

An English-speaking guide will accompany you during the transfer.
Visit of Chile's capital, nestled at the foot of the Andes. Although Santiago has become over the years a modern and bustling city, some older neighbourhoods have preserved their atmosphere and a romantic charm.
You will visit the Plaza de Armas, San Francisco Church, the Bellavista area, Cerro San Cristobal, etc.
Visit the museum of pre-Columbian art of Chile in Santiago.

Day 2: Santiago de Chile

Tour of the Chilean gastronomy in Santiago, with all kinds of tastings.
The day begins with the Vega Central, a covered market built in 1910, where professionals and people do their shopping. The market is overflown with fresh products from all over the country or even from abroad. Near the Vega, you will stop at head quarters of "Copihue", Santiago's biggest producer of "mote con huesillos". Make sure you taste this typical beverage made of wheat and peaches.
On the other side of the Mapocho river, you will visit the centre market, built in 1872, famous for its fresh fish and seafood. Try the "machas" (a clam native to Chile) with a glass of white wine. At the corner of the central market, you will find Santiago's oldest empanadas factory. After tasting a delicious meat empanada, make your way to the gastronomic neighborhood of Lastarria, where you will have a taste of 3 Chilean wines.
The tour comes to an end at the traditional restaurant "El Hoyo", which has been in business since 1912. You will get to try the "terremoto" (the earthquake) and typical dishes.

Day 3: Santiago de Chile - The wine-making valleys - Casas del Bosque Wineyard - Matetic Winery

Departure from your hotel. Arrival in the Casablanca valley and visit of the Emiliana vineyard, well-known for its organic wine and bio-dynamic technology. The Casablanca Valley is the main production area of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir.
Drive to Valparaiso and afternoon at leisure.

On the way, visit and tasting at the Casas del Bosque Winery in the Casablanca Valley.
On the way, visit and wine tasting at the winery Matetic in San Antonio Valley. The domain Matetic is distinguished by its quality Syrah wines.

Day 4: Matetic Winery - Santiago de Chile - Valparaiso & Viña del mar

Breakfast at the hotel. Visti of the cellar and wine tasting.

Departure at 09:00 from your hotel and ride to Valparaiso.

Visit of this town and its old quarters, listed as a World Heritage by UNESCO. With its many hills crowned with picturesque houses and warehouses, its steep narrow streets, its funicular railways and street singers, the city has a particular identity and a very special atmosphere.
Make sure you have lunch in a typical seafood restaurant.
Visit of La Sebastiana, one of Pablo Neruda's houses.

Day 5: Valparaiso & Viña del mar

At the end of the day, you will go to Mauricio's House in order to learn the recipe and cook the famous Pisco Sour cocktail. You will enjoy at the same time the wonderful view of the city of Valparaiso from the terrace and tasted local products...a glass of Pisco Sour in your hand. Come back to your hotel then.

Day 6: Valparaiso & Viña del mar - Isla Negra - Casa Marin Winery


After a generous breakfast, leave your hotel and head to Isla Negra, the house/museum of Pablo Neruda. This day is very flexible, feel free to plan it as you wish to discover the beautiful central valley.
At the end of the day, head to your hotel in Santa Cruz.

Day 7: Santa Cruz - Vignes Viu Manent - Vignes Montgras


In the morning, you will visit the Colchagua Museum, which owns Chile's largest private collection.
The afternoon will be spent at the Viu Manent facilities. Before tasting four interesting wines, you will take a tour in a horse carriage among the vines full of history (since 1935). The other option is to visit the Montgras area and participate in the didactic activity "make your own wine" where you can become an oenologist for the afternoon and combine flavors and aromas.
The morning tour can be replaced by a visit to another vineyard such as Lapostolle.
Get on the carriage and enjoy a great experience. Take a tour through the history of the winery and its vines. Get to know the winery to learn about wine-making processes and taste wines directly from the stainless steel tanks. Finally, enjoy four of the wines on a tasting in which you will also learn basic notions of professional wine tastings.
Visit and tasting at the Montgras Winery in the Colchagua Valley where you will be able to make your own wine.

Day 8: Santa Cruz - Santiago de Chile - Santa Cruz - Vignes Montes - Santiago de Chile

Drive north to the Colchagua Valley and Cachaopal.
Visits and wine tastings in two vineyards to choose from the following: Montes (you can hike in the domain's rainforest), Huelquen for a very personalized tour of its organic wines, Perez Cruz and its cellar with a unique architecture, the historical Cousiño Macul or the rare Torreon de Paredes.
Then, make your way back to Santiago.
Group tour followed by a wine tasting in the French vineyard Clos Lapostolle.
Visit and tasting at the Montes winery in the Colchagua Valley:
The visit begins with a drive through the vineyard. The next step will guide you to the installations and then to a gathering on the roof to understand the wine-making process. Then, you will head to the barrel room where the owner plays Gregorian chants. You will then pass by the bodega for a tasting of three of the vineyard's grape varieties.
