Day 1: Bogota

Day 2: Bogota

This half-day will be devoted to the discovery of Colombia's wealth:

- A walk through the emerald universe accompanied by an "expert" guide, you will travel the streets of the Candelaria, to meet dealers and artisans. By visiting processing plants and shops, you will learn to recognize in particular the most beautiful stones.
- The visit of the Gold Museum, which brings together a fascinating collection of nearly 34,000 pieces of gold and Tumbac (copper and gold), is the largest pre-Hispanic gold collection of the world.
- Botero Foundation, dedicated to the Colombian artist Fernando Botero, which exhibits his own works (one hundred drawings, paintings and sculptures) as well as his private collection which has no fewer than 85 masterpieces of artists renowned (Renoir, Dali, Chagall, Picasso, Miro, ...)

Note: the order and content of the activities are indicative depending on the day of the week Gold Museum closed Mondays; Botero Foundation closed on Tuesdays) .

Half-day dedicated to the visit of Monserrate in Bogota to enjoy the city’s greatness from above. The sanctuary, which rises up to 3.152m over the capital, is the center of the national religious tradition, and has become a part of the capital’s history due to the high flow of visitants.

Day 3: Bogota - Pereira

Transfer to Bogota airport for your domestic flight.

This area is famous for growing and producing the majority of the Colombian coffee, considered by some as the best coffee in the world.

Special dinner under the saman of the hacienda.

The Hacienda San Jose has the distinction of having a giant saman in the heart of the property, which gives it its charm. The dinner will be served under the branches of this tree in all exclusivity.

Day 4: Pereira - Buenavista - Armenia - Pereira

Transfer between your hotel and a famous "finca", a coffee-house.
During the day, you will visit a coffee plantation, nestled in the hills of Quindio Valley, to learn everything about coffee from seed to cup with professional explanations of the whole process (seed collection, roasting , etc...).
You will then participate in a tasting and sensorial unusual adventure : in the shoes of a "catador", the master roaster will make you feel the soul of a real Colombian coffee. You will no longer drink your coffee in the same way!

Day 5: Pereira - Cartagena de Indias

Free morning in your hacienda in the heart of the coffee region.
Perched onto the hills of Pereira City, the owner of this small finca will welcome you for a very special coffee tasting. You will be able to follow the roasting process. This is what influences the taste of the beverage and gives the beans the characteristic brown color. What´s best than ending this tour by drinking a cup of freshly roasted coffee?
Transfer to Pereira airport for your domestic flight.
Domestic flight to Cartagena.
Arrival at Cartagena de Indias, the undisputed queen of the Caribbean coast, a fairy-tale city of romance, legends and superbly preserved beauty lying within an impressive 13km of centuries-old colonial stone walls. Cartagena's old town is a Unesco World Heritage site – a maze of cobbled alleys, balconies covered in bougainvillea, and massive churches that cast their shadows across plazas.

Day 6: Cartagena de Indias

Day 7: Cartagena de Indias

Half day dedicated to the visit of the main historic and cultural sites of Cartagena:

- The Convent of the Popa: perched on a hill that embraces the whole bay, this monastery houses a beautiful patio, a colonial museum and a chapel dedicated to the Virgen de la Candelaria.
- Panoramic View from the Castle of San Felipe Barajas: at the doors of the colonial city, it is one of the greatest strongholds ever built by the Spanish Army. The view of the city is impressive.
- Direction Fuerte San Sebastian del Pastelillo now listed Historical and Cultural Humanity Heritage by UNESCO. This is the first fort built in Cartagena, in 1741. It was there that took place the famous attack of British Pirate Sir Francis Drake. The fort was restored in the 1970s and is home to the famous restaurant Club de Pesca.
