Day 1: Bogota

Arrival at Bogota El Dorado International airport.

Day 2: Bogota

Half-day dedicated to the visit of Monserrate in Bogota to enjoy the city’s greatness from above. The sanctuary, which rises up to 3.152m over the capital, is the center of the national religious tradition, and has become a part of the capital’s history due to the high flow of visitants.

This half-day will be devoted to the discovery of Colombia's wealth:

- A walk through the emerald universe accompanied by an "expert" guide, you will travel the streets of the Candelaria, to meet dealers and artisans. By visiting processing plants and shops, you will learn to recognize in particular the most beautiful stones.
- The visit of the Gold Museum, which brings together a fascinating collection of nearly 34,000 pieces of gold and Tumbac (copper and gold), is the largest pre-Hispanic gold collection of the world.
- Botero Foundation, dedicated to the Colombian artist Fernando Botero, which exhibits his own works (one hundred drawings, paintings and sculptures) as well as his private collection which has no fewer than 85 masterpieces of artists renowned (Renoir, Dali, Chagall, Picasso, Miro, ...)

Day 3: Bogota - Pereira

Transfer to Bogota airport for your domestic flight.

Domestic flight to Pereira.
Welcome to the « Coffee Triangle », including the departments of Caldas, Risaralda and Quindío, which together make up the heart of the Zona Cafetera, also called the Eje Cafetero. This area is famous for growing and producing the majority of the Colombian coffee, considered by some as the best coffee in the world.
Transfer to your Hacienda, a large traditional landed estate.
Dive into the colorful world of the exotic fruits! Trust the advice of the expert and treat yourself to a guided fruit tasting. You will be surprised and amazed by the diversity of colors, tastes and textures!

Day 4: Pereira - Buenavista - Salento - Finca - Salento - Pereira

You will visit a plantation nestled in the hills of Quindio Valley to learn about coffee from seed to cup with a professional explanation of the whole process (seed collection, roasting, and delivery of grain to the beneficiary).
You will then participate in a taste and sensory unusual adventure. In the skin of a "catador" master roasters will make you feel the soul of a real Colombian coffee.
You will no longer drink your coffee in the same way in the morning!

Half day dedicated to visit the village of Salento: panoramic tour, discovering the local architecture and traditional buildings made of bamboo (guadua). Return to the hotel in late afternoon.

Day 5: Pereira

They look like they are dancing ...
A private and exclusive show of our equine friends ... The Colombian "Paso Fino" just for you.
Next, we propose to visit a traditional sugar mill that is still operating thanks to the force of the river.
Who has not drunk panela (a sugar cane concoction) during his life? It has many virtues and is typically Colombian!
Before returning to the hotel, we invite you to prepare yourself your own panela lemonade.

Day 6: Pereira - Bogota - Santa Marta - Tayrona National Park

Transfer to Pereira airport for your domestic flight.
Domestic flight to Bogota.
Domestic flight to Santa Marta.
Arrival at Santa Marta airport.
Transfer to your hotel inside Tayrona National park. End of the day free to enjoy, between jungle and sea, the beautiful park: walking in the rainforest, swimming in the crystalline waters of the Caribbean, relaxing on the pristine beaches…

Day 7: Tayrona National Park

Departure for the Sierra Nevada. Tayronaka is a lost city of the Tayrona Indigenous people. Mythical city, it is precisely here that the movie Mission, starring Robert de Niro has been shot. With your tour guide, you will retrace the history of this ancient civilization.
Then you will board a lancha, a small motorboat, to go down the Don Diego river till the Caribbean Sea. On the way, you will have the chance to see many monkeys and colorful birds.

Lunch in the heart of the Sierra Nevada and back to your hotel.
Free afternoon to enjoy, between jungle and sea, the beautiful Tayrona National Park: walking in the rainforest, swimming in the crystalline waters of the Caribbean, relaxing on the pristine beaches…
Note: Swimming can be hazardous at some beaches due to strong currents and undertows. We strongly discouraged it.

Day 8: Tayrona National Park - Santa Marta - Cartagena de Indias

Free time to enjoy the beaches of Tayrona National Park.
Departure for Cartagena, on the Caribbean coast. On the road, you will make to stop at Santa Marta for a panoramic tour of the city and a visit to the Hacienda San Pedro Alejandro, dedicated to Simon Bolivar, “el Libertador”.
Transfer to your hotel in Cartagena and end of the day free to discover the unequalled charm of this colonial city, listed as World Heritage by UNESCO.
Note: 5 to 6 hours drive, about 2 hours city tour in Santa Marta

Day 9: Cartagena de Indias

In the morning, you will go for a guided walking tour through the Walled City, including the visit of the most beautiful areas such as San Diego, Plaza Santo Domingo, Getsemani and other landmarks with very rich history.

Day 10: Cartagena de Indias

Half day dedicated to the visit of the main historic and cultural sites of Cartagena:

- The Convent of the Popa: perched on a hill that embraces the whole bay, this monastery houses a beautiful patio, a colonial museum and a chapel dedicated to the Virgen de la Candelaria.
- Panoramic View from the Castle of San Felipe Barajas: at the doors of the colonial city, it is one of the greatest strongholds ever built by the Spanish Army. The view of the city is impressive.
- Direction Fuerte San Sebastian del Pastelillo now listed Historical and Cultural Humanity Heritage by UNESCO. This is the first fort built in Cartagena, in 1741. It was there that took place the famous attack of British Pirate Sir Francis Drake. The fort was restored in the 1970s and is home to the famous restaurant Club de Pesca.

Day 11: Cartagena de Indias - Baru Peninsula

Transfer between your hotel and the port of Cartagena.
Boat transfer to Casa Navegante.

The house is located in the swamp of Cholon, located on the west side of Baru island and now considered the largest lagoon in the coastal National Natural Park of Rosario.

Isla Baru is located 35 minutes from Cartagena. It has white sand beaches, crystal clear waters, surrounded by mangroves and corals.
The climate is warm with an average annual temperature of 28 º C.
The houseboat navigates sometimes and spends most of his time anchored. This is not a cruise, but an original escape.

Day 12: Baru Peninsula

Relaxing day in Cholon Bay.
