Day 1: Juan Santamaria Airport - San José

Welcome to Costa Rica ! Reception at the Juan Santamaria International Airport near San José , at 1150 meters above sea level in the heart of the Central Valley.
First contact with Costa Rica, your private driver will give you your travel documents and will take you to your hotel.

Your english speaking guide will escort you to your hotel.

Day 2: San José

Day dedicated to the discovery of the capital affectionately called by its inhabitants Chepe.
You will visit the Teatro Nacional, famous for its baroque and neoclassical architecture and its ceiling with frescos depicting the coffee harvests. Also, you will see the Pre-Columbian Gold Museum, located on the Place of Culture. You will see San Jose's coñonial houses, the Museum of Jade and finally the colorful stalls of the Mercado Central.

Note: The National Theater is closed on Sundays and Mondays and Jade Museum is closed on Saturdays and Sundays

Day 3: San José - Manuel Antonio


Today, we will head south to Costa Rica's Pacific coast, driving through Alajuela, San Mateo and Orotina, taking a scenic mountain road.
On the way and if you have enough time, stop to watch crocodiles sunbathe on Rio Tarcoles or visit Carara National Park, which despite its small size (52 km2) is one of the most diverse of the country.
Arrive in Quepos, well known for sport fishing and palm oil production, and relax at the hotel in Manuel Antonio, a wonderful park.

Day 4: Manuel Antonio

Departure for a half day off the coast of Manuel Antonio dedicated to the offshore sport fishing: Wahoo, Marlin, Tuna...

Day 5: Manuel Antonio


Free time day to enjoy the Manuel Antonio region with its stunning beaches and coral reef, and a great variety of fauna and flora. Swim in the cristal waters, relax on the thin sand beaches, walk through the tropical vegetation... This is the perfect place for watching numerous animals such as lazys or squirrel monkeys.
Note: The Manuel Antonio National Park is closed on Mondays.

Suggested activities - to be discussed:
- Rafting, fishing, kayaking (on the sea or in the mangroves), diving.
- Explore the canopy (supsended bridges, flying foxes).
- Refuge Barú (fauna and flora, trekking...).
- Watching the dolphins and cetaceans.
- Naucaya waterfalls (trekking and horse riding).
- Reserve of Los Campesinos (trekking, nature, waterfalls and typical rural life).
- Vanilla and spices plantations.
- Cooperative of african plam and wild animals protection centre.

Day 6: Manuel Antonio - Sierpe - Drake Bay


Early in the morning, head to the Osa Peninsula, the coastal road via Palmar Norte where, if you have time, you can stop at Central Park to admire the pre-Columbian stone spheres.
Arrive at Sierpe, village, main gateway to the wild Osa Peninsula.

Welcome to Sierpe and transfer boat to Bahia Drake, about 1:30 browsing the heart of the Mangrove.

Day 7: Station La Sirena (Corcovado National Park) - Drake Bay

During your stay, you will be surrounded by the diverse melody of the tropical rainforest and peaceful rhythm of the ocean. White-faced monkeys swing from the trees while toucans and scarlet macaws circle overhead. Endless small coves and beaches, fresh-water lagoons, and miles of hiking trails that wind through the rainforest make this the perfect spot to simply relax all day or embark on an eco-adventure experience second to none.

With over 70 registered world records within 60 nautical miles of the bay, it's no wonder that this fisherman's paradise has a reputation for providing some of the world's best sport-fishing.

Day 8: Isla del Caño (Corcovado National Park) - Drake Bay

Day dedicated to the Isla del Caño discovery. Caño Island has been a biological and archaeological reserve since 1978 and plays a significant part in Costa Rica’s natural and indigenous history. Ten nautical miles from the resort, this beautiful island and marine sanctuary, with waters containing vast amounts of coral-building organisms, and some of the most varied and abundant marine life on the planet, is a world-class diving and snorkeling site.

Day 9: Drake Bay

Depending upon what is biting and what species the angler wants to target, we can go out to the island for Grouper, Snapper, Tuna, and Wahoo or stay in-shore and target Roosterfish, Mackerel, Jacks and Snook. A 1/2 day trip is a full 5 hours.

Day 10: Drake Bay - Drake Airport - Juan Santamaria Airport

Free time then return to the small port of Sierpe by boat, sailing between the Pacific ocean and the mangroves.
You will take a flight to San Jose.

Note 1: Flight duration 1 hour ; schedules and company specified at the time of booking.
Note 2: Warning - limited weight of luggage ( about 12 kg per person )

Three hours before departure time is the connection with your international flight.

Meals are not included

IMPORTANT: depending on the time of your international flight, plan to sleep the night before in San Jose.
