Day 1: Sydney

Transfer from Sydney airport to your hotel

Day 2: Sydney

Step inside the iconic opera of Sydney and learn more about its remarkable achievement. If Sydney Opera House is a UNESCO world heritage listed site since 2007, it is for a good reason. The most famous opera in the world in an indisputable masterpiece of the 20th century. With your English-speaking guide, you will explore the different theatres where more than 1600 performances take place every year! (concerts, operas, dramas, ballets...). During approximately 1h, your guide will explain you every aspect of the building's creation and history.

Day 3: Sydney

Your private guide will meet you at your hotel. Together, you will head for the historic district of Sydney: the Rocks! You will find there some of Australia's oldest monuments, that were built back in the 18th century by the first European settlers. Then you will cross the Harbour Bridge to go to Bradley's Head, from where you will have a really nice view over Sydney. Then you will go further north, to the seaside city of Manly. With its pretty beach, Manly is the place to be for all surf lovers. You will then discover the wealthy neighborhood of Palm Beach, where you will have lunch. After lunch, you will pursue your journey to the north of Sydney and reach the Ku-ring-gai National Park, famous for its Aboriginal rock art. From West Head, you will enjoy a panoramic view, before going back to your hotel.

Day 4: Sydney

No journey to Australia would be complete without exploring the beautiful Blue Mountains! On your way to the Blue Mountains, you will stop at the Featherdale Wildlife Park with your private guide, where you will meet Australia's emblematic animals (kangaroos, kookaburras, koalas...)! Once in the Blue Mountains, you will discover this world heritage listed site. You will see the famous rock formations of the Three Sisters in Katoomba and enjoy amzing views over the Kings Tableland and the Wentforth Falls from 2 different lookouts. You will also learn about the Aboriginal legends and the blue haze phenomenon of the Blue Mountains. Then you will have the possibility (as an option) to take the Scenic Railway, which is the world's steepest railway! After a walk in the rainforest, it will be time to go back to Sydney.

Day 5: Sydney - Alice Springs

Located in the heart of the MacDonnell Ranges, Alice Springs was first a telegraph station. It is now the biggest city of the Red Center, but also the most emblematic city of the Australian Outback. In the main street, you fill find many Aboriginal art galleries. Take time to visit some of them. Depending on your preferences, you can also discover the Royal Flying Doctor Museum, the School of Air and/or the Telegraph Station!

Day 6: Alice Springs - Glen Helen

Discover the Red Center from a completely different perspective. Approximately one hour before sunrise, you will be picked up from your hotel in Alice Springs and transferred to the take-off area. Then, get ready for a 30 minutes hot air balloon overflight of the MacDonnell Ranges! The sun will soon rise and transform the landscapes of this arid region. A wonderful show of nature! Back on the mainland, you will enjoy a glass of Australian sparkling wine, before being taken back to your hotel.

From Alice Springs, head west to discover the West MacDonnell Ranges. This mountain range dates back more than 800 millions of years! The West MacDonnell count many gorges and natural waterholes, where water remains cold all year long. While crossing the Park, do not be surprised to meet some local animals. Wallabies, dingoes and different species of marsupials live here in full freedom. At the end of the day, you will reach Glen Helen. Do not miss the sunset, that seems to ignite the cliffs.

Day 7: Glen Helen - Kings Canyon - Ayers Rock

Remember to buy your Mereenie Loop Pass at the reception of Glen Helen Resort before starting your journey. Today, you will ride on an unsealed road, the Namatjira Drive, and you will therefore need a 4wd. Along the way, you can make a detour to discover the Goss Bluff, also called Tnorala (its indigenous name). This crater was formed 140 millions of years ago, by a massive comet. The diameter of the crater is of about 20 kms! To explain this crater, an Aboriginal legend states that a celestial woman had dropped the cradle of her baby while dancing with her friends... Back on the main road, you will reach Kings Canyon, in the heart of the Watarrka National Park.

Day 8: Kings Canyon - Ayers Rock

Let's discover Kings Canyon! Wake up early in the morning to be able to take thet start of the Rim Walk (on days the forecast temperature is 36 degrees Celsius or above, the Kings Canyon start point of the track will close at 9am). This walk will probably be one of the key moments of your discovery of the Red Center. You will cross "Lost city" and its specific rock formations, and then the "Garden of Eden", a beautiful oasis of greenery! Then, take the road to the world-famous Uluru. Sunset on the monolith should be missed under no pretext! Uluru becomes scarlet red, before falling asleep in the dark.

Day 9: Ayers Rock - Cairns

Gateway to the rainforest of North Queensland and to the Great Barrier Reef (several cruises depart from Cairns marina), Cairns is a touristic, vibrant town. It is the perfect place to buy some souvenirs. You will also find there many good restaurants and trendy caf├ęs. After dinner, walk along the water to feel the true spirit of the city.

Day 10: Port Douglas - Cape Tribulation - Cairns


Australia is home to one of the oldest people in the world: the Aborigines. During this day tour, you will have the chance to get an insight into their fascinating culture. You will spend the day with a local Aboriginal guide, that will make you discover his traditions and the relationships that his community, the Kuku Yalanji, still have with their land. You will visit the Daintree rainforest, which dates back to 130 millions of years and is therefore the oldest forest on Earth. Your guide will give you some explanations about the environment and help you to sample some bush tucker. You will also have the opportunity to try to traditional hunting practices.

Day 11: Port Douglas - Great Barrier Reef - Cairns

The Low Isles are a unique place that deserve a unique means of transport! You will travel on-board the Aquarius's catamaran, that can only host 23 guests. During the cruise, you will discover the stunning tropical islands and their coral reefs. A delicious buffet lunch will be served, between two guided snorkelling tours. The Low Isles are a true paradise for snorkelling lovers! You will also have the opportunity to take the start of an interpretive island walk and to see the historical Lighthouse.

Day 12: Cairns - Green Island


Live a wonderful getaway on Green Island! From Cairns, you will take a boat to go to Green Island, which is a true piece of heaven! This coral island has a luxuriant vegetation... It is no coincidence that this island was called Green Island! On Green Island, you will spend some of the best days of your life. You will be granted the chance to immerse yourself in the pristine nature of the Great Barrier Reef. During the 3 days of your trip to Green Island, you will have time to explore the area in various ways: walks, cruise to the Great Barrier Reef, snorkelling... and of course farniente!

Day 13: Great Barrier Reef

During your second day on Green Island, take part in the Great Barrier Reef Adventure guided tour. Thanks to the glass bottom, you will have the possibility to watch the coral reef directly from the boat. But of course, it will also be possible to jump into the water and to snorkel among the corals. If you are looking for a different experience, you will have several options. Windsurfs and canoes are available for free, and water ski as an option. Green Island Resort also has its own spa and a really nice swimming pool. Enjoy!

Day 14: Green Island - Cairns

After your breakfast, it will be time to leave the unique place that Green Island is. Your head will certainly be full of pleasant memories and amazing images. The ferry will take you back to Cairns in about 50 minutes.
